Previously we’ve examined General Election 2020 voter turnout in multiple blog posts as well as our registration trends on our data dashboard. Occasionally we come across similar analysis that is also worth exploration.
A new data dashboard is available by TargetSmart called TargetEarly. This dashboard was created for exploring early in-person and absentee voting trends and to help visualize patterns in early voting across the last three presidential elections.
This dashboard allows you to breakdown and manipulate voter data by age, gender, voter frequency, party, and more. In the charts below we can see the differences in early voting percentages versus overall voter turnout by urbanicity.
Being able to see trends and patterns in how, when, and where Kansans vote can help inform local communities of potential investments, measure progress, and track impact of work being done.
